Organic Alcohol provided the lychee nut alcohol to be used as the solvent in the extraction process, while Fruit of the Earth provided the cannabis strain 24K Gold. Headset and Nielsen Join Forces Global measurement and data analytics company Nielsen formed an alliance with Seattle-based cannabis analytics firm Headset to provide insights about the U.S. marijuana market to consumer packaged goods (CPG) businesses. New York-based Nielsen’s consumer research capabilities will be intertwined with Headset’s point-of-sale data for cannabis products. Headset collects data from states with legal recreational marijuana markets. Headset and Nielsen plan to provide insights into market trends, segments, brands and products in the legal marijuana economy as well as study consumer attitudes and product preferences within CPG categories. Nielsen recently acquired Cannabiz Consumer Group, which studies the impact of marijuana legalization on CPG consumer spending and shopping behavior trends. The Seattle cannabis shop hosted a book signing with author Thomas Kohnstamm, who was in the store signing copies of his new novel, “Lake City,” and limited-edition packs of pre-rolls. Kohnstamm teamed with the owners of Saints Joints and Fire Bros, both Seattle-area marijuana production and manufacturing companies, to produce 1,000 limited- edition “Lake City” pre-roll packs to help promote the book.
